Monday night was bowling night with our Newlywed group from church. I'm not a fabulous bowler... in fact, I might have been the worst bowler there tonight (notice the scores). Ben & I got blown out of the water! Regardless, it was a fun night. We're enjoying making new friends who are all in the same stage of life as us.

Barefoot In The Park
Tonight we saw my friend Kim in her latest play "Barefoot In the Park" presented by the Wilsonville Theater Company. Kim has become more and more involved with her acting over the last few years and it's always a pleasure to see her at work. I believe this is the 4th play she's done - and she's always a riot. This production was done in conjuction with the Nuts-n-Boltz theater that Kim has worked with in Boring. Both the Wilsonville Theater Company and Nuts-n-Boltz are small theaters trying to get themselves established - so check them out.
Next weekend is the last showing of this darling show. Click here for more info on showtimes and tickets. Don't miss it! Tell Kim we sent you!

Pumpkin Carving with The Craigs
Matt & Kristi Craig invited us over last night for some pumpkin carving. An impromptu pre-Halloween party with just the four of us.
Earlier in the day Ben made a deal with me that if I gave him half my cookie, he would scoop the guts out of my pumpkin. Ummm..no branier...I shouldn't have been eating the cookie to begin with! As a result - I didn't get too messy in this process. Kristi didn't actually carve a pumpkin but she did serve us some homemade apple pie. I probably shouldn't have been eating that either, but I did, and it was delicious.
Here's photos of the beauties we created.

Mt St Helens
Today started very early... before 8 am. Ben has had the burning desire to drive to Mt. St. Helens for a while now. The observatories close for the winter after tomorrow, so it was our last chance of the season. It was nice and sunny out (and very cold) - but the drive was good. It was extremely windy when we got there - so we didn't spend much time outside. Our photos didn't turn out very well because of the bright sun and it was a bit hazy, but we hope you enjoy.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

The Wonderful World of IKEA
Tonight Ben & I joined our friends Kenny & Darci for some shopping at IKEA. Our IKEA store has been open in Portland for 3 months now and this is our first trip there. Can you believe it? Even more unbelievable is we made it through the store in 2 hours, and only spent about $45. I'll say that impulse buying is reduced when you know it's a close drive to home. Here's some photos of our adventure tonight.
Take notice of Darci's fancy photo taking stick... I don't know what it's called exactly, but it attaches to your camera so you can take fabulous self-portraits. How clever! Maybe we didn't spend much money because we were busier taking photos than we were looking at the merchandise.>

Aloha
I am a lucky girl who just returned from a fabulous week vacation in Hawaii. Ben stayed behind so I could join this girls trip celebrating my friend Tiffany's birthday. What a blast!
We stayed on the Big Island about 30 minutes north of Kona in some plush condos very close to the beach. The weather was warm and sunny everyday we were there. We spent some time exploring other parts of the island, but mostly it was lounging in the sun, relaxing, and enjoying the company of some fantastic ladies.

Hi Friends!
Inspired by Abby's new blog, we decided it was time to start a blog of our own. I've been wanting to do this for months, but I guess I've been too lazy. Hopefully, we can muster up enough excitement in our lives to entertain someone.
Since this is our first post, we'll start with the basics...
Ben & I were married April 28 this year. In just a few days that marks 6 months. What a milestone! (Do we get gifts for a 6 month anniversary?!) We live in Sherwood with our precious puppy Payton. We carpool almost everyday into Tualatin since we both work for PGE. Ben is a Lead in Customer Service and Andrea is a Resource Coordinator in IT. The details may not be exciting, but we're blessed with a good life and we're happy.
That's it for now... more to come later!
Andrea & Ben
